چکیده

The aim of the present study was to identify and recognize genotype for cystic Echinococcosis that infects goats (n=19) in Iraq. hydatid cyst collected from different parts body, i.e. lungs, liver, heart, spleen peritoneal cavity. current conducted five regions Iraq (Anbar, Baghdad, Saladdin, Karkuk, Babylon during October 2018 July 2019. mitochondria DNA extracted screened presence (CO1) cytochrome C oxidase subunit 1 gene using polymer chain reactions (PCR). Amplification size around 450bp. amplicon isolated purified. CO1 sequenced. putative sequence BLAST with available NCBI. genetic tree deduced. G1 is most frequently spread strains considered as a key source infection

Molecular characterization of Echinococcus granulosus from Peru by sequencing of the mitochondrial cytochrome C oxidase subunit 1 gene.

Echinococcus granulosus, the etiologic agent of cystic echinococcosis (CE) in humans and other animal species, is distributed worldwide. Ten intra-specific variants, or genotypes (G1-G10), have been defined based on genetic diversity. To determine the genotypes present in endemic areas of Peru, samples were collected from cattle (44), sheep (41) and humans (14) from Junín, Puno Huancavelica, Cu...

Overexpression of Mitochondrial Genes (Mitochondrial Transcription Factor A and Cytochrome c Oxidase Subunit 1) in Mouse Metaphase II Oocytes following Vitrification via Cryotop

Background: Gamete cryopreservation is an inseparable part of assisted reproductive technology, and vitrification is an effective approach to the cryopreservation of oocytes. The aim of this study was to investigate vitrification effects on the expression levels of mitochondrial transcription factor A (Tfam) and mitochondrial-encoded cytochrome c oxidase subunit 1 (Cox1) in mouse metaphase II o...

Molecular Phylogeny of Nematodes (Oxyurida: Travassosinematidae) from Orthoptera (Gryllotalpidae) Inferred by Mitochondrial Cytochrome C Oxidase Subunit 1 Gene

In this study, we sequenced mt Cox 1 gene sequences of five nematode spp. that were infective to arthropod, Gryllotalpa africana. The nematode belongs to Thelastomatoidea, a group of pinworms that parasitizes only invertebrates. Currently, in India spp. of this group are distinguished mainly on the basis of morphological characters that present possible confusions. Therefore, we identified the ...

Comparison of Mitochondrial-Related Transcriptional Levels of mitochondrial transcription factor A, Nuclear respiratory factor 1 and cytochrome c oxidase subunit 1 Genes in Single Human Oocytes at Various Stages of the Oocyte Maturation

Background: The aim of the current study was to assess the mRNA levels of two mitochondria-related genes, including nuclear-encoded NRF1 (nuclear respiratory factor 1), mitochondrial transcription factor A (TFAM), and mitochondrial-encoded cytochrome c oxidase subunit 1 (MT-CO1) genes in various stages of the human oocyte maturation. Methods: Oocytes were obtained from nine infertile women wit...

Genetic Differentiation of the Mitochondrial Cytochrome Oxidase c Subunit I Gene in Genus Paramecium (Protista, Ciliophora)

BACKGROUND The mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) gene is being used increasingly for evaluating inter- and intra-specific genetic diversity of ciliated protists. However, very few studies focus on assessing genetic divergence of the COI gene within individuals and how its presence might affect species identification and population structure analyses. METHODOLOGY/PRINCIPAL FIN...
